Resistance welding

By “resistance welding” we mean processes in which welding is done by heating and exerting pressure on the parts to be welded.

An important variable in resistance welding is the electrode, since the current density depends on the size of the tip. Tip size is related to the nugget size required for a certain sheet thickness and can be easily calculated.

The current density is important; if the tip size increases, the same amount of current flows through a larger weld area, resulting in less heat generation and subsequently a softening weld.

Cemsa International S.r.L. is synonymous with “applied technology,” and the machines offered on the market use the following technologies: spot and projection welding, seam welding, but/flash welding, electrical upsetting.
